SAE TIR J2601 - Refuelling standard for hydrogen vehicles
The SAE TIR J2601 standard describes the refuelling process for hydrogen cars. At the same time it shows the safety related limits and the performance requirements. Thanks to this standard it is possible to reliably refill fuel-cell vehicles within less than three minutes.
Wenger Engineering GmbH is a member of the working group for the development and improvement of the standard. We are able to contribute our knowledge in the field of simulation to this consortium made up of car manufacturers and gas producers. Our simulation model, based on the prize-winning thesis of Dr. Steffen Maus, has been validated experimentally by Powertech Labs among others.
